In the end of February into the first week of March we took our girls on a trip to Disneyland! We had perfect weather and a absolute blast. Besides Hazel getting crazy sick on the way there and then miraculously recovering as soon as we were at Disneyland the first day, everything about this trip was awesome. Greg was adamant about the girls meeting the characters and I was so happy he was. The girls were star struck with every character we saw. Pretty adorable.
Our next adventure we had while on our big family vacation was creating a color run for the kids. A few of us had gone on a color run the week before and we kept all of our bags of chalk they gave us. We might have sneaked a little more too. 🙂 Each adult had a different color and we made the kids run in one big circle where they got nice and dirty with bright chalky colors. The adults were supposed to stay clean, but as you will see, the kids got them too. I was safe because I had a camera! Ha. Hazel especially loved it! I didn’t think she would even take part in it, but she ran around with the kids and got covered in chalk too. Then we hosed down the kids back at the house we rented and had them jump in the pool. This was pretty fun. Highly recommend making up your own color run!
Back in September, our little family spent a week with my mom, step-dad, and all the siblings and their families in Saint George. We created many fun adventures while there. One of our first fun activities was sending off lanterns with wishes written on them off to the sky. Each child was given a lantern and every couple did as well. Lydia’s wish was about becoming a princess(of course). The kids loved this. It was like magic watching those lanterns float in the sky.
More adventures to post from Saint George back from September to come.
