My baby went and did it. She turned one today. And I am still pinching myself that she is actually mine. Hazel is quick to smile and laugh. It’s one of the things I love most about her. She has developed this cute smile where she crinkles up her nose(like in the picture) especially when she is getting into trouble!
People say the first year of baby’s life is magic, and I would have to agree. I would gladly replay any day from this past year, even the hard ones where exhaustion was the theme of the day. I would like the second year of her life to slow down, but that’s not going to happen. I think the second year brings more fun than the first though. Hazel’s personality is really coming out lately and she’s pretty funny. I can’t wait to see her develop even more.
Hazel has Greg wrapped around her finger. He gets up early in the morning practically every morning without a complaint(seriously, he’s a saint) and a smile on his face when he picks her up from her crib. I love seeing the two of them together.
Hazel has brought an incredible amount of joy to our family. We love her very much! Happy Birthday my darling girl.
