These girls of mine are sure keeping me on my toes.  And isn’t that the funniest little series of pictures?  The transition to two kids was honestly an easy go for the first couple of months.  Probably because I was focusing on just my children at the time!  Now with photography in full motion, church callings, training for another half marathon in October(I’m so excited!), and just trying to keep up with other activities in general, I’m finding myself scrambling every day to get myself together.  And these girls are such good sports about it all.  But I feel like I am always rushing them.  Rushing to get Lydia lunch, rushing my time holding Hazel while putting her down for a nap.  Rush, rush, rush.  I saw a quote the other day that says, “Children are not a distraction from more important work.  They are the most important work.”  It’s really made me slow down when taking care of the girls.  Not get as flustered when I don’t have much time for my “other work.”  These girls have given me the most fantastic job in the world which is being their mother.  I have really taken that for granted lately.  They are my greatest “work.” I can sacrifice other things right now for them.  And who needs sleep anyways?  😉
