Lydia turned four on July 30. In case you couldn’t tell, she got a trampoline for her birthday. It’s been quite the hit when cousins and friends come over. And when there is no one to jump with, she will take her stuffed Minnie and baby princess to keep her company while she jumps.
We kept her day pretty simple. She woke up with pink and white balloons on the ground in front of her door and down the stairs.  She thought that was pretty cool.  A tiara was waiting for her on the kitchen table along with a mini stack of pancakes.  She loved being sang to and blowing out the candles so much in the morning, that we had to do it twice.  I didn’t mind. 🙂  Then Lunch at chick-fil-a with Dad, Kristen and Tayden.  Family came over for cake and ice cream in the evening.  Usually my friend Angie will make Lydia’s beautiful and delicious cakes, but seeing she just had a baby a couple of weeks before this, I dared to bake a cake for Lydia this year. It didn’t turn out half bad right?
I think she had a pretty great day. All I care about is that she felt loved and special on her birthday, and I think we got that covered. 🙂  I will miss three year old Lydia, but four year old Lydia is a lot of fun, and a bit sassier!  We love you Lydia Denise.
