My heart loves this series of images so much.  I love it when she lets me capture her true self.  Lydia isn’t the biggest fan when I bust out my camera so I have to do a lot of coaxing for her to even look my direction!  But in these moments she let me just talk and laugh with her without paying too much attention to me when I did hold up the camera to my face.  And those eyes she has!  Most days they are looking green now like mine, but get this girl in some pretty light where they sun can really shine on them and they are the most spectacular blue/green eyes I have ever seen.  I am pretty biased, but they really are beautiful.  We love this girl so much.  Even when she drives me crazy asking questions and non-stop talking all day, I find myself laughing at what comes out of her mouth despite myself these days.  Don’t even get me started how often she quizzes me on what letter says what sound.  If I misunderstand what sound she made and say the wrong letter (because I might have been half paying attention while trying to do something else.  Whoops!), she’ll laugh at me and tell me I’m silly and inform me of the correct letter.  She also frequently asks us what words she can and can’t say.  Like saying “Oh Man!”  She will double check with me if she can say it, after she says it of course. 🙂
