Disneyland adventure.

Good gracious. A head cold sabotaged all my plans on my time frame on things to get accomplished last week.  So anything I did get accomplished last week took a verrrrryyyy long time for me to do.  But I am feeling better!  I can breathe!  I don’t feel like my head is about to burst!  And with this return of health brings me energy to share Disneyland adventures Lydia and I had with family back in November.

It’s a long story, but Gregory wasn’t able to make it this trip.  It was only a two day Disneyland trip, but we sure missed him being there.  There were many moments I was dying for Greg to be there watch Lydia experience everything, or even to take her potty a couple of times (seriously, one parent toileting in public restrooms got old 😉 ), but life is life and he couldn’t be there.  I declared the next time we take steps into Disneyland it shall be the whole Simmons family together!  We were able to go with mi Madre, sister Kristen with her family, and my brother Kade and his wife Jasmine even decided to make the trip!  The only sibling missing was my older brother Kyle and his family who we missed dearly too.

I brought the big old Nikon with me for only one day of the trip.  I love being able to capture moments with it, but at the same time it’s heavy and big to carry all day, I am constantly worrying about it’s safety, and it isn’t the lightest thing to carry around my neck.  With being a single parent on the trip as well, I knew I needed to be more present in the moment than capturing the moment anyways.  So without further explanation, the vacation in pictures!

Waiting for Disneyland to officially open in the morning.

PhotobucketThe first thing we did was walk right up to where the princesses would be.  Lydia showed no hesitation in greeting them.

PhotobucketLydia especially loved matching Minnie!  Incredibly happy to show her that they matched.

PhotobucketAt the end of the greet, Lydia blew Minnie a kiss.  My heart melted.  Those princesses taught her well!

PhotobucketIt’s a Small World ride at night.  Pure magic at Christmastime. Lydia was not interested in taking a picture.  Thus you get the back of her head.

PhotobucketAt the end of the fireworks display at the end of the night, Disneyland actually makes it snow.  Not fake.  It’s melt in your mouth, icy feeling snow.  Again, magic that Disneyland gives you at Christmastime.  Magic!

PhotobucketThe big magical Christmas tree on Main Street.  I wish I would have been able to capture the castle at night time, but it was crazy packed that night with being the first night of the Christmastime parade and fireworks.  Believe me, it looked amazing.

I have many Iphone pictures to share too so this isn’t the end of the Disneyland adventure yet.
